Heretic Printmakers bring People of Print magazine covers to life using PERMAPRINT Premium AQUATONE Inks

500 hand printed magazine covers

Colormaker Industries, the Australian manufacturer of PERMASET Inks, collaborated on the production of the cover of Print Isn’t Dead, a screen printing quarterly publication of the London based community of creatives, People of Print

A total of 500 covers were produced, each painstakingly and individually screen printed by the exceptionally talented Heretic Spectral Nation Printmakers (Heretic), who were also responsible for the eye-catching design.  The covers feature layer upon layer of creative visual elements that embody the continually evolving art of print. All covers were printed in a vibrant range of PERMAPRINT Premium and AQUATONE water-based inks.

People of Print were thrilled to have partnered with Heretic on this project, as they had shown unique artistic style, vision and masterful printing skills through their extensive body of work. This sets them apart from many other screen printers in the industry.

Eco-friendly screen printing inks for paper

To achieve Heretic’s artistic vision, People of Print chose to use PERMAPRINT Premium® and AQUATONE® Ink ranges for paper and other substrates. These inks are archival quality, offer superior performance and colour brightness and are manufactured using 100% renewable electricity.  These eco-friendly inks contain no ozone depleting chemicals, volatile solvents, heavy metals or other toxic chemicals and are totally phthalate free.

The covers were printed in a number of different colourways. The results were absolutely fantastic and gave the magazine a unique, sophisticated look. Screen printing is alive and thriving

The partnership with People of Print not only affirmed PERMASET’s place as a leading provider of high quality, eco-friendly screen printing inks, but has also strengthened our belief in the long-term viability of screen printing. With People of Print continually seeking out talented and creative individuals and publishing new and inspiring work that reflect trends in the world of screen printing, there is no doubt that the craft of screen printing practice will continue to thrive well into the future.
