Opaque water-based inks with unsurpassed colour
for screen printing on dark coloured fabrics

PERMASET SUPERCOVER® – Opaque Screen Printing Inks

PERMASET SUPERCOVER® Inks are an opaque range of water-based inks designed for printing on dark coloured fabrics right out of the tub. Created with carefully selected pigments and the latest advances in water-based ink technology, PERMASET SUPERCOVER Inks are 100% solvent free and eco-friendly with unsurpassed colour and opacity.

Character

PERMASET SUPERCOVER Inks feature outstanding opacity derived from high pigment loading. As high solids acrylic (HSA) inks, users must flood the screen between prints to prevent the ink from drying in on the image area. PERMASET SUPERCOVER Inks do not contain ozone – depleting chemicals including CFCs and HCFCs, aromatic hydrocarbons, volatile solvents, phthalates, lead, or other heavy metals, and are safe for the screen printer to use.

PERMASET SUPERCOVER prints have a matt finish. The inks are intermixable, light fast, non-bleeding with excellent opacity. They have excellent wash, rub and dry clean resistance once cured.

Fabrics

PERMASET SUPERCOVER Ink is ideal for printing on a full range of fabrics including cotton, polyester, polyester blends, silk and most synthetics.

PERMASET Supercover shows excellent resistance to damage by rub, wash and dry-cleaning, all without the need for additives. The ink colours have light-fastness ratings of at least 6/8 on the Blue Wool scale – in fact most of the colours received ratings of 8/8.  Fastness to wash and dry cleaning on woollen fabrics may be diminished.

Use cases

PERMASET SUPERCOVER Ink is supplied ready-to-use and designed to print directly onto dark fabrics without an underbase.

May also be used on light coloured fabrics if required.

PERMASET SUPERCOVER Ink is ideal for band and tattoo merch including black T-shirts and may also be used on yardage, homewares, flags, banners, sportswear and tote bags.
