‘And isn’t the whole point of things—beautiful things—that they connect you to some larger beauty?’
– Donna Tartt, The Goldfinch
Beauty is infinite. Something as ordinary as a jar of eco-friendly ink can become a thing of beauty, producing compelling products that can bring a design to life, or become part of a larger, more beautiful entity.
Our PermaPrint Premium range is a testament to the adage above since it can produce beautiful, top quality outputs on a variety of applications.
Permaprint Premium inks can be used for printing posters, art reproduction, hand-printed wallpaper, stickers and backlit displays. This poster is screen printed by Artisan Screen Prints, NZ using Permaprint Premium Inks.
What are PermaPrint Premium Inks?
PermaPrint Premium products are water-based inks ideal for a range of applications, from art reproduction and screen printing, to the making of hand-printed wallpaper, posters, stickers and backlit displays. They’ve been used faithfully by many of our clients, including esteemed Australian screenprinter and designer, CDC Creates.
CDC Creates’ products are all handmade and screen printed using traditional methods and ecofriendly Permaprint Premium inks, to produce “bits and bobs” that are highly crafted, individual and made with love.

CDC Creates is a screen printing business in the heart of Perth, Western Australia. Founded by architect and designer Caroline Di Costa. The company has produced a range of children’s products, kitchen diaries, sketchbooks, diaries and notebooks using different substrates, from fabrics and paper, to boards and other alternative mediums using Permaset Aqua and Permaprint Premium inks. (You can follow them on Instragram @cdc_creates). Here’s what they had to say about our eco-friendly inks:
‘Permaset Aqua and PermaPrint premium products provide the perfect inks to bring designs to life. In particular, the metallic range add depth and texture to a single colour print. The metallic ink changes as the light conditions change, sometimes almost dissolving into the medium and at other times producing a bright glow. The fact the inks are environmentally friendly, free of toxic chemicals or solvents and many in the range are Soil Association Approved is imperative, as CDC Creates operates with a strong sustainable agenda and from a home studio with small children who like to be “involved” in the printmaking process.’

As highlighted by CDC Creates, using PermaPrint Premium offers many benefits to screen printers, fine artists and business owners. Below are some of them.
This range of water based inks is formulated free of volatile solvents and aromatic hydrocarbons. They do not contain PVC resin, phthalates plasticiser and ozone-depleting chemicals like CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) and HCFCs (hydrochlorofluorocarbons). The product is also free from lead and other heavy metals that are toxic.
They add depth and texture to a single colour print.
With superior performance and colour brightness, PermaPrint Premium is used in various mediums (e.g. plastic, cork, cardboard, and traditional watercolour paper) as it self-cures on glossy and non-porous surfaces. The ink also sits on the medium properly, creating depth and making the print appear three-dimensional.
Apart from these benefits, PermaPrint Premium products are also water-based and very versatile. The products also provide superior adhesion on various substrates, including cardboard, sealed paper, tyvek, polyesters (mylar), polycarbonates (lexan), poly-styrene and some coated metals.
They are easy to clean with water
PermaPrint Premium products are not only safe for the environment and the printer, they also ensure that equipment can be easily cleaned with water, making them a much safer option to use compared to solvent-based inks.
Give PermaPrint Premium a try, and be amazed at the results.
