PERMASET® Foil FX inks can be used for a foil like print effect. Most commonly used on dark backgrounds, interesting effects can also be achieved on light backgrounds.
Exceptional sparkle is achieved through the use of large flakes in the ink and an open mesh (20T or 24T) is required. Rub resistance is poor and flaking should be expected. PERMASET® Foil FX is better suited to designs where the Foil FX print is broken into small areas much like sequins. When printed in large continuous slabs, stretch is compromised and the large mesh pattern can be seen.
