How to screen print a T-shirt using PERMASET Puff Paste

This excellent video shows the steps along the way to screen printing a T-shirt which has been designed with 3D puff effects. The T-shirt is inspired by the Japanese Hokusai Great Wave of Kanagawa block print, and is a beautiful design, printed on both Black and White backgrounds. The design has been screen printed in 6 layers, with the final layers being the puff print. The design is by Imbued Design, and the screen printing is executed by PrintLords Screen Printing in Brookvale Sydney, using PERMASET, PERMATONE, PERMASET Supercover inks and PERMASET Puff Paste.

How to cure a water-based screen print simply with an iron

In order to cure a screen print with an iron, you need to air dry the print (so that it’s dry to touch) first and then you can iron over the print with the iron on a Medium setting for 1 – 1 1/2 minutes, moving the iron over the print as you go. It is also recommended to use brown paper or baking paper over the print when curing the print with an iron if you have it available.
